Dr David McCormack, MSc DClinPsych
David McCormack is a Clinical Psychologist who specialises in the treatment of depression, anxiety disorders and psychological trauma (e.g. recurrent panic attacks, obsessive-compulsive disorder, social anxiety problems, phobias, and post-traumatic stress disorder).
To enable clients to overcome the problems they are attending for Dr McCormack uses evidence-based psychological therapies, including, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Therapy is tailored to the client’s individual needs and is designed to overcome the problems identified in a timely fashion.
Qualifications and experience
Dr McCormack trained as a Clinical Psychologist at Queen’s University Belfast. Since completing his clinical training he has worked as a Clinical Psychologist at Belfast City Hospital and the Royal Hospitals in Belfast.
He has a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Queen’s University Belfast) and a Master of Science degree in Counselling Psychology (Trinity College Dublin). He has also undertaken specialist training in a number of psychological therapies, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Psychological Trauma (Oxford University). He is fully insured and registered to practice as a Clinical Psychologist in Northern Ireland and Great Britain. Registered Clinical Psychologist, PYL24053.
