Dr Philip H Pollock, BSc (Hons), MSc, C Psychol, PhD, CSci, AFBPsS, is qualified as both a Forensic and Clinical Psychologist (Chartered Status with the British Psychological Society) who works as a Consultant in a local Health & Social Care Trust and also manages a private forensic psychology practice, M. V. Psychology Consultancy Ltd.
He has expertise in all areas of forensic psycho-legal work and specialises in homicide and violent offending, sexual offending and risk assessment in criminal cases He has worked as a Consultant for 19 years delivering forensic psychotherapy and risk assessment for government bodies and the Courts and has published widely on many topics in forensic practice (4 books, over 20 peer reviewed publications). Dr Pollock is a longstanding member of the U.K. Register of Expert Witnesses and has served clients and the Courts in criminal, civil, family and child care, occupational health (6 years as a Consultant to the Police Service of Northern Ireland) and negligence cases.
Dr Pollock also provides a range of psychological therapies for mental health conditions and his work is regulated according to codes of conduct (British Psychological Society, the Health Professions Council, Chartered Scientist status). He has expertise in delivering evidence-based psychological therapies and practice for conditions specialising in childhood sexual abuse survivors, personality disorder, psychotic disorders and sexual disorders.
