Dr Raeburn Forbes has been a consultant neurologist for over 20 years, and is on the GMC Specialist register as an adult neurologist.  He graduated from the University of Dundee (MBChB 1992 and MD(Honours) in 2000.  He practices as a general adult neurologist in the Southern HSC Trust and in private practice.  He oversees a specialist headache clinic in the SHSCT.  He has been a main author for a Cochrane Collaboration, Principal Investigator in several clinical trials and has published research articles across a wide range of neurological conditions including Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease, Epilepsy, Lumbar Puncture and Headache.  He is well known in Northern Ireland as an educator of GPs and hospital specialists.  He is a full member of the Association of British Neurologists and served as member of the Board of Directors of the Irish Institute for Clinical Neuroscience until 2020.  In 2023 he served as President of the Irish Neurological Association. 

Dr Forbes will accept instructions for medical legal expert reports across the whole field of adult neurology for personal injury, clinical negligence, criminal and tribunal purposes.  He has completed medico-legal training from Bond-Solon, so you can anticipate a readable, structured report written for a lay audience.
